The production of shrimpfeed is a high cost- high energy production process, the formula must be very ground very fine, and the pelleting process requires intensive pre- and post conditioning. Shrimpfeed is produced as pellets, followed by a crumbling process the produce all the particle sizes required during the shrimp production cycle. In older plants energy consumption can be reduced significantly by replacing old conditioning equipment with state-of-the-art equipment.
